Graphic design

The visual identity of the guarantee portal carries the full weight of the AMMA Roses luxury brand while serving an entirely distinct purpose — verification, not commerce. The design system was carried over from the parent brand: deep near-black backgrounds, warm gold typography and accents, and the same refined typographic hierarchy. This continuity is intentional; a customer holding a physical numbered certificate needs to arrive at a portal that feels as premium as the product they received, immediately reinforcing the legitimacy of what they’re verifying.

The guarantee mark itself — the AMMA™ ROSES Guarantee badge — was designed as a standalone graphic asset: bold enough to anchor a physical certificate insert, scalable for digital display, and distinctive enough to function as a genuine anti-counterfeiting device. Gold foil-style treatment on digital surfaces gives the mark the ceremonial quality appropriate for a product that markets itself on uniqueness and provenance.

The verification result states — confirmed authentic, unique certificate number, product details — were designed with high visual clarity: large, confident typography for the confirmation state, and a clean information layout presenting the rose arrangement’s specific details. The experience needed to feel definitive and reassuring, not form-like or bureaucratic.

Design approach

The UX of an authentication portal is unusually straightforward in one sense — there is essentially one task — but the stakes around that task are high. A customer verifying a luxury gift needs an experience that is frictionless, immediate, and emotionally satisfying. The interface was therefore stripped to its essentials: a single certificate number input, a clear submission action, and a result state that delivers the confirmation with confidence and warmth rather than clinical brevity.

The portal also serves an important anti-counterfeiting function for the brand. AMMA Roses explicitly states on product pages that their Endless™ Roses have unique characteristics that cannot be imitated and that every Luxury Collection item ships with a numbered certificate. The guarantee subdomain is the enforcement mechanism for that promise — a URL that either confirms a rose arrangement is genuine AMMA provenance or flags that it is not.

This dual audience — the legitimate customer seeking reassurance, and the potential counterfeiter facing a verification wall — shaped every design and copy decision on the portal.

Technical build

The guarantee portal was built as a standalone subdomain — guarantee.ammaroses.com — deliberately separated from the main WooCommerce installation. This architectural decision keeps the verification system independent and lightweight, with no dependency on the e-commerce layer, and ensures the portal remains accessible and fast even during high-traffic periods on the main site (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day).

The backend connects to a certificate database that stores unique numbered identifiers assigned at the point of production for each Luxury Collection arrangement. Each certificate number maps to specific product metadata — arrangement type, rose count, colour, production batch — allowing the portal to return a meaningful, personalised verification result rather than a simple pass/fail. The system is designed to be tamper-resistant: each certificate number can only return one valid result, and unrecognised numbers return a clear non-authentic state without exposing database structure.
